Bruce T. Sackman served as the Special Agent in Charge, United States Department of Veteransí Affairs (VA), Office of the Inspector General, Criminal Investigations Division, and Northeast Field Office until May 2005, retiring after 32 years of service. In this capacity, he was responsible for all major criminal investigations involving VA from West Virginia to Maine. During his tenure he was involved in the investigation and prosecution of three medical serial killers and numerous medical related suspicious death inquiries. He was also responsible for supervising the successful investigation and prosecution of the nationís first homicide conviction in connection with pharmaceutical research.

His cases have been featured on the Discovery Health Channel, CNN, MSNBC, and on Home Box Office. He is the recipient of many awards ifor his nvestigations and efforts in encouraging and supporting the profession of forensic nursing. Mr. Sackman has lectured at several forensic related conferences, State police organizations, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, universities and medical related symposiums.

Mr. Sackman is currently employed in the private sector as a licensed private investigator specializing in healthcare related matters in New York City.
